Were you watching this space?
Hi guys, First and foremostly, I must say I've been quite impressed with the attendance for the past trainings. Granted, there are some people who seem to feel that EITHER swimming OR land training is compulsory, but most of you, in general, have been consistently showing up for trainings. Good on you.
Another thing I've noted is your sense of responsibility. If you're sick, or going to be late, we said, you'd jolly well better tell somebody to relay the message to us, or tell us directly. It seems the message got through, with most absentees being accounted for last training. Most.
Keep it up.

Term test
I know the term tests are coming. Irritating buggers as they are, this is still a crucial period for all of you, so training will have to be cut down. As such:
1) Land training next week will be pushed forward to Monday, 24th May, 7pm
2) While swimming training will be pushed forward to tomorrow, Saturday, 22nd May. It will be combined with what would have been your Saturday training to create ... something you probably haven't done before.
Venue: Swimming Pool
Time: 9.30am
To Bring: Running Shoes, Goggles, MATRIC CARD.
(Also because the reservoir is being used for a wakeboard competition, so we can't row tomorrow. Phooey.)
So next week from Tuesday onwards until after the term tests, all compulsory training will cease. You may still self-train, of course, at your own time. But please take note that the school gym will be closed from 31st May to 5th June for.... Carpeting works.
Why they want to put carpeting in the gym to soak up everybody's sweat and ... uh...improve air quality, is anybody's guess.
