You've already received my message earlier, I presume, about the choosing of boats you would like to row for SCM.

Now for the updates.

The Categories (in order of difficulty) are as follows:

**Novice Men/Women: 14km

Junior Women: 22km
Junior Men: 27km

Senior Women: 27km
Senior Men: 36km

Masters: 22km

Here's the sucky thing about this year for a few of us: The categories highlighted in Orange above are available only to Participants below 18 years old (i.e born in 1992 and later)

This means that the year 2s and above (including Ian and Keith) will have to be taking the senior category, if we intend to go. (Mind you, 36km is no joke. We know. T_T)

**Update: The Novice categories may be open to us as well. I am currently confirming. Keep your fingers crossed.

Don't mind the Masters category. I put it in for fun, but you wont be rowing in that anytime soon unless you grow a beard, and 20 years older ; its for those above 35 only.

Tomorrow there will be a training session at 4pm. (The usual) If almost everybody comes down, we can discuss this in more detail. I still have more things to say, but I rather shock your pants off when I can see your face. Its a lot more fun.

For those who see this early, please spread. Its not that hard.

For those who don't turn up, you better be in class, or an important project meeting, or I'll slaughter you. ^_^

3 days away.

Some admin stuff just in case you all forgot:

1) Bus will be LEAVING SCHOOL BY 7AM. Please report BY 645AM on Saturday morning.

2) For those that are not taking the bus, please report at MR by 7 30 AM.

3) Friday, all to report at club by 9 30am to shift the equipment down and row. As discussed earlier, Wei Jie, Barney, Joshua, Junice, Lydia and I will be meeting the rest of you at MR to help unload the boats. The trucks will be parked at the carpark and busstop at 10 15am. Please load the K4 first to prevent a massive jam on the road.okie

ITS TIME

Team, its time to show the rest what we've been training for. The sweat, the injuries, the perserverence. When you reach MR carry yourself with pride as a TP kayaker. Dont doubt yourself and what youre worth. Cause we're all in this together and we're gonna fight it till the last last race!

17 days till POL-ITE. Everyone is working hard and training as much as possible. But please remember to take care of your health and have sufficient sleep.

Sleeping at 2am and waking up at 7am isnt the best thing a sportsman/woman should be doing. Be wise in planning your sleep so that at the very very least you're having 7-8 hours of sleep. You might claim that your body feels perfectly fine with only 4-5 hours of rest, but it is not sufficient. Your muscles need to recover and sleeping is the best way to do so.

Also please watch your diet. Gassy drinks (apart from 100 plus) are out. And your favourite western food...start ditching the wedges and platters of fries if you want to be the best. They'll only help you in gaining an inch around your waist.

17 more days till we show the rest of the polys what we have. Seniors, you all have been working so hard for this day. I know you all want it badly. I do as well. Some schools are aiming to grab both the championships this year. We're gonna prevent that from happening and bring back the trophies.

Push on, push hard.

TPKRT GO!
